On-Air Personality, “El Gordo
y La Flaca” (The Scoop & the Skinny)

Ximena Córdoba serves as an on-air personality on “El Gordo y La Flaca” (The Scoop & the Skinny), Univision Network’s popular entertainment program.
Córdoba joined the Univision family in 2013 as the weather anchor on “Despierta América” (Wake Up America!), the happiest home on Spanish-language television featuring four hours of entertainment, news and practical information Monday through Friday from 7-11 a.m. ET/PT.
She left her native Medellin, Colombia and began her career in Miami in 2006, co-hosting Fox Sports en Español’s program, “Jorge Ramos en Vivo.”
Córdoba’s on-camera skills were quickly recognized by American advertising agencies and commercial directors, opening the door for modeling opportunities from top brands such as L’Oréal, Heineken, McDonald’s, Volkswagen, and Johnson & Johnson, among others.
In addition to her successful modeling career, Córdoba served as host of TNT’s “TNT Movie Club,” where she provided expert commentary as a critic of American films.
Shortly afterwards, Córdoba was tapped as co-host of Univision’s popular morning show, “Tu Desayuno Alegre” (Your Happy Breakfast). During this time, Córdoba also presented special reports for the TeleFutura network, guest-starred on the American television dramatic series “Magic City,” and worked on several modeling projects, including a commercial with renowned actor, Robert Downey Jr.

Córdoba graduated with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Miami. She currently resides in Miami, Fla.
